CASE STUDY
The Client
Cape Epic is the world biggest mountain bike stage race up to this day. It takes riders through 658 km of South Africa’s Western Cape countryside with a cumulated vertical gain of 13,530 meters. The race attracts professional and ambitious amateur entrants from across the planet and is the only 8-day mountain bike stage race classed as hors catégorie by the world cycling federation UCI.
The Challenge
The event management was looking for a media output strategy.

quattro media's objective is to increase media value and eyeballs for related global sponsors, participating mountain bike heroes and a successful sale of 1200 entries per year.

We were also asked to analyze production opportunities and existing media services.
Our Solutions
We have become a permanent media partner for Cape Epic since 2005.

We have been fully integrated into the entire production process and helped to increase daily video output with news feeds, daily 26-min shows and daily 5-6 hour live productions.
Permanently analyzing all involved service providers and skills by quattro media lead to a management of a complex production universe and host broadcasting service.

By executing a creative and pro-active video product and distribution strategy, quattro media has helped Cape Epic multiplying its media reach and awareness level year by year.

Now, the Cape Epic race is the most televised mountain bike stage race in the world.
